Cher travestie started in 1992 in Brighton and lasted 10 years before she gave up her stilleys which still hang up in a gay pub in Birmingham.

Over that time Cher performed all over the UK, USA New Zealand and most of Europe. but one of her favorite venues however was in Leeds, Cher writes " I used to do an old lady in the show for a sketch called "Enas World", I would show how in 3 easy steps to become a drag queen cum fire eater , nearly turning a poor unsuspecting audience member id asked to join me into a human torch. In this routine I pulled out a tub of I can’t believe it’s not butter for a gag. But at The New Penney [in Leeds] once most of the audience pulled out ice cream lids of ‘too good to be true’. It was a wonderful moment and one of my favorite as a drag act" Cher finished in 2002 and went onto to become a stand up comedain.
